Providing an accessible student residence hall for first-year students
EUA worked with the State of Wisconsin and UW-Whitewater to design a 400-bed residence hall for first-year students. Design aspects of this hall included evaluation of MEP system options, envelope options and superstructure options. Also reviewed were the pro/cons of a standalone chiller package or expansion of the campus-wide chiller plant to serve the building.
Universal accessibility is an important part of the University’s culture. Our in-house accessibility expert worked closely with campus representatives to provide the desired accessible elements to the site and building.
