UW-Platteville Study
Studying how to effectively utilize classroom space
EUA was selected by UW-Platteville, UW System, and the State of Wisconsin DFD to create a comprehensive pre-design study for five lab/academic buildings to accommodate fast growing programs for the College of Engineering and Math Sciences (EMS), the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture (BILSA),
and the College of Liberal Arts and Education (LAE) at UW-Platteville.
EUA worked with the University to review programming needs, provide a utilization analysis of existing classroom and lab spaces, and ensure spaces are “right sized” to fit their individual purposes. In addition to these services, EUA provided lab design, building design, cost estimating, value analysis, construction sequence/phasing planning, and graphics for fundraising. Examples of spaces examined in the study include physics, chemistry, robotics, virtual reality, nanotechnology, CADD, wet and dry labs, performance spaces, study spaces, and faculty offices.
