Design a new freestanding specialty clinic that blends into an existing hospital campus
To advance the patient experience and expand their service-line, ProHealth Care (PHC) turned to EUA to consolidate the heart and vascular department into a new specialty clinic located on the Waukesha Memorial Hospital campus. To create a distinct facility while infusing PHC standards and blending with the hospital, the new 37,000 sq ft building weaves together complementary exterior materials with colored glass accents and incorporates elements of nature throughout.
Designed with the patient in mind, a centralized registration process and main waiting area improve flow and wayfinding while staff collaboration areas reduce travel distances and increase interaction with patients. An improved and upgraded cardiac rehab program caters to patients seeking regular, on-going treatment. The centerpiece of the facility, the rehab gym, includes a two lane walking track, a full complement of exercise and therapy equipment, space for yoga and strength training and patient locker rooms with showers.
