Home to the largest music festival in the world, the new US Cellular stage provides an enhanced experience for hundreds of thousands of music-goers, further establishing the Summerfest brand. With the festival’s notoriety, it now attracts more than 800 acts and hosts 1,000 performances; the existing stage was replaced to improve the musician equipment handling experience and enhance sound quality with a focus on optimizing patron visual access. EUA looked beyond the specific space function and considered volume changes by time of day, ever-changing band technology, rigging needs and patron access to amenities to design the new stage and viewing area.
The stage features a 25-foot LED screen for better visual access with an open-air backstage loft providing VIPs with up front stage views and exclusive access. Mobile charging stations around the stage and lakefront, with stunning views of the Milwaukee skyline and Lake Michigan enhance the overall visitor experience.
