Summerfest – North Gate Plaza + Uline Stage
Improve efficiencies, sound, lighting + space to create the ultimate concert experience
Continuing to improve the music lover experience, EUA reconstructed and expanded Summerfest’s North Gate to create a more efficient entrance. A new ticket building, upgrades to the turnstiles and a new community plaza gives festival goers a more efficient beginning to their festival experience. Coinciding with the Lakefront Gateway project, the new plaza integrates with the Urban Park green space and features interactive musical elements for everyone to enjoy.
The Uline Warehouse stage was the last stage on the grounds needing renovations to provide an improved concert experience. With a new roof canopy, EUA was able to provide the stage with improved lighting and sound technology, while the increased depth to the stage will allow Summerfest to attract more modern acts. Along with improvements to the stage, EUA designed a VIP section that previously wasn’t included at this stage’s location. Other elevated elements for festival goers includes a permanent structure for beer vending just off to the side of the stage allowing people to not miss a moment of the show while getting refreshments. With Uline being the sponsor, EUA incorporated the brands aesthetics into the stage using warm wood tones to create a log cabin-like feel.
