Enhanced learning spaces allow for greater educational opportunities and prioritize student safety
In November 2008, the St. Francis citizens passed a referendum to provide additions and renovations to Willow Glen Primary, Deer Creek Intermediate and St. Francis High School. EUA worked with the District and a community group through facilities assessments and master planning to define and reshape projects within the schools. During the planning process, due to enrollment, the District changed their grade configurations, which affected what was communicated to the community.
The district's greatest needs were addressing failing building systems, accessibility to the schools, safety measures and energy saving projects. The work at Willow Glen Primary included a cafeteria expansion and a secure entrance to the school. A new secure entrance, front office addition, interior renovations for ADA accessibility and the creation of a new music room encompassed the work at Deer Creek Intermediate. The high school project included a new science wing, a new secure entrance, administrative offices and commons area. Each building also has a varying degree of electrical, mechanical and plumbing upgrades/replacements.
