Integrate a corporate office + design center into a single space that reflects their quality product
An active force in the Colorado housing market, Shea Homes wanted to create a unique regional headquarters that would meet their operational needs as well as relocate their showroom. The result is a warm, collaborative space furnished with some of the very products Shea Homes utilizes in their home designs.
The entry sequence includes an open communicating stair that connects the reception area to the showroom beneath. This stair also acts as a two-story, solid walnut fireplace that visitors pass as they descend to the design center. Emitting vapor, as opposed to gas or burning wood, the fireplace, located in the design center, provides warmth with minimal environmental impact.
With a focus on employee well-being, EUA designed the corporate space of Shea Homes to integrate with its surroundings. Expansive windows usher in daylight and provide mountain views, while the use of colors found in nature gives the impressions that the barrier has been removed between inside and outside.
