School Sisters of St. Francis – Sacred Heart Center
Consolidating locations offers new opportunities
When the School Sisters of St. Francis decided to close their Campbellsport location consolidating to their St. Francis location, EUA was brought in to help identify solutions to repurpose the space to meet the changing needs. Communication was a key project component through bi-weeky meetings with the Sisters, in addition to working with Community Care, a tenant to coordinate their needs.
The project involved renovating the existing double occupancy skilled care facility to a skilled care and memory care household model in addition to a significantly redesigned and better defined entry to give the campus a new image and better community presence. The final portion is the conversion of a 6-story hospital, previously converted into offices, into marketable and profit yielding RCAC and CBRF units.
A dedicated chapel was designed that incorporated religious artifacts from the Campbellsport campus. The artifacts included repurposed stations of the cross and other liturgical items. Other features consist of a hearing induction loop and the ability to broadcast services to sisters all across the campus.
