Increase collaboration in a single location for manufacturing + office space

Sani-Matic designs and manufactures automated sanitary process cleaning equipment for food processing and bio-pharma companies. Previously, Sani-Matic was in two separate buildings which hindered their ability for teamwork and client touch points.

The primary business case for building a new facility was to bring people together under one roof to create better employee engagement and fabrication efficiency. In addition, Sani-Matic’s customers visit frequently during the process of design and construction of their equipment and the new building had to support this need as well.

The climate-controlled manufacturing area was situated on the site to increase the efficiency of material delivery and product assembly / completion as well as handling any Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.). The work cafe is connected to a training room by demountable walls, allowing Sani-Matic additional flexibility with a large training space. The work cafe was intentionally placed to bring the manufacturing and office employees together into one common area. By moving the private offices into the interior of the building, daylight pours into employee workstations and the work cafe.
