ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Surgery Suite
Expand services and enhance functionality for current + future community growth
To meet the needs of patients and staff, ProHealth Care wanted to create an effective system for circulation of sterile materials and patient flow in their surgery suite renovation. Work included a basement and two-story addition to relocate the PACU and materials management, while systematically renovating and expanding the surgery suite from six to eight operating rooms. The project was completed in six phases allowing the hospital OR to remain fully functional for the duration of construction.
With a heightened focus on the process, the design optimizes efficiency for sterilizing equipment, while shortening the steps required to go from materials management to sterile processing. Also incorporating operational efficiency, the building features LED lighting and energy system improvements. The new open and purposeful footprint accommodates future growth at ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.
