Oconomowoc Area School District

Address district-wide capacity issues with improved + adaptable learning environments

Oconomowoc Area School District’s community resoundingly voted to pass a referendum for a new elementary school, while addressing maintenance and capacity issues in the District’s other schools. The referendum also includes an addition and renovation to Ixonia Elementary and renovations to the high school’s east and main campuses.

This new Meadow View Elementary school implements flexible learning environments through large and small group collaboration spaces that are placed along the perimeter walls with movable glass-walled classrooms in the center. This allows for greater daylighting throughout and the ability to flex and adjust classroom space as needed.

Transforming their main entrance, Ixonia Elementary’s addition gives them a stronger presence within the community while improving ADA accessibility and security. The addition to the high school’s east campus allows for increased focus on STEM educational programs.
