Implement phasing to retain residents on campus throughout construction of the new facilities

Looking to provide a continuum of care deserving of their residents, Oakwood Village looked to EUA to develop a master plan that would modernize their built environment and also replace a functionally obsolete high-rise with an affordable independent living apartment tower and health center.

EUA worked with the Owner through various options that were financially sustainable and resident-oriented while adding contemporary amenities to the entire campus. The plan could be implemented without the displacement of current residents from the campus and in a phased program that respects the existing environments. The design solution is a 10-story market-rate tower, a four-story affordable independent living building and a three-story health center with a new chapel on a well-organized repositioned campus that leaves rooms for future expansion possibilities.
