Northeast WI Technical College - Great Lakes Energy Education Center*

A sustainable building for sustainable use

Northeast WI Technical College's (NWTC) net-zero teaching facility is a shining example of sustainable building practices where students actively participate in monitoring the building’s systems and track its energy use. The facility powers the next generation of energy workforce with indoor and outdoor labs that match real world environments and a learning facility designed for zero net energy. Located on the NWTC campus, the center includes an indoor electrical power distribution lab, outdoor electrical power distribution pole field, energy management mechanical lab, solar lab, indoor gas utility lab and more.

NWTC’s Great Lakes Energy Education Center (GLEE) is designed to help students power up careers in energy and offer associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates, apprenticeships and workforce training.
