Marquardt Village Town Centre + Park Terrace
Hospitality-inspired design for the next stage of life
EUA completed a master plan for Marquardt Village in 2014, identifying the need for a more cohesive continuing care retirement community (CCRC) organized around a household concept to connect Marquardt’s collection of detached buildings and care programs.
Through renovating two existing buildings, EUA assisted Marquardt in repositioning the services offered to create a continuum of care positioned for the future. Skilled nursing and affordable housing was reduced, while rehab, independent and assisted living were added, specifically memory care, to better serve Marquardt’s target population.
The new construction Towne Centre connects the campus, offering a centralized location for residents to gather and socialize as a community. Its amenities available to all residents include a game lounge, dining/restaurant, exterior terrace, fitness center, bar and a cafe bistro. Both new additions utilize materials from older buildings to retain a cohesive campus image, while introducing a more contemporary, updated look to attract new residents.
