Madison Metropolitan School District
Designing facilities that support the individual communities + offer equitable learning opportunities
Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) passed a $316M referendum to support its academic vision for facilities. Four of the main high schools will receive major renovations and additions of approximately $70M each for STEAM, performing arts, LMC, athletic facilities, classrooms and welcome centers. EUA is designing and executing these high school additions and renovations to be completed at the same time. Rimrock Elementary School is also being designed to address equity concerns and better serve the neighborhood. EUA’s team organization and structure are successfully supporting these various projects that are running parallel with each other to be sure that the MMSD staff and students receive the same level of support throughout the process.
With MMSD’s commitment to sustainability, EUA is designing the schools to be sure that they are environmentally responsible and support the school board’s Renewable Energy Resolution.
Through feedback sessions, EUA is currently working with MMSD to also engage with the students, staff and residents in prioritizing needs and wants for each school and community.
