Lockheed Martin – Visitor Badging Center*

Build a modern, expanded visitor center that appeals to guests + streamlines internal processes

This client's existing Visitors Center at the entrance of their Waterton manufacturing campus was in need of modernization and an expanded footprint to better facilitate their processes for granting access to visitors and personnel. To improve internal processes and provide a positive first impression to customers and employees, EUA designed a new building. The Visitor Badging Center is a modern pavilion-type building that takes its cues from existing structures on the campus as well as Waterton Valley’s landscape. The masonry evokes the jutting rocks and hogback formations prevalent on the campus’ rolling hills. A glass cube with sloped roof provides maximum visibility to the security staff inside the building for monitoring traffic activity in and out of the plant, as well as vast amounts of natural light. Tasked to design a LEED Silver building, it achieved LEED Gold certification.
