Lake Mills Area School District – High School
Examine current utilization to reconfigure + expand capacity to accommodate the needs of a growing community
In response to overcrowding, the Lake Mills Area School District conducted a facility, capacity and utilization study of the high school. The results of the study concluded that a new addition and renovation were required to meet the needs of their growing student and staff population. Following a passed $6.9M referenda, the first phase of work includes an addition to the high school for approximately 6 classroom to accommodate 130 students. The media center will be relocated and other underutilized spaces improved, including renovations to family and consumer science, technical education and agricultural education classrooms. An artificial turf football field will also be added to serve as the District’s varsity stadium in the future.
