Improving the learning environment through flexible spaces and daylighting
Greenfield High School was in need of repair, due to overall age and poor condition of the facility. The remodel of Greenfield High School utilized a combination of demolition, renovation, and new construction. A visual preference survey was used for the school board, staff and students to give feedback about interior and exterior elements of the final design.
EUA addressed the need for more daylight utilization throughout the building, specifically focusing on the interior spaces. EUA also designed the academic spaces to be flexible and incorporated ergonomic furniture for student comfort.
The remodel included a new secure main entrance, a 734-seat auditorium, new academic classrooms, a new auditorium, a natatorium (pool) and athletic playing fields giving the students state-of-the-art competition areas.
