Display the client’s global brand while maintaining Denver roots in a secure, new high rise

The Gates Corporation was seeking a new, branded space for their headquarters in a downtown Denver Class AA high rise. After designing their original space 15 years ago, EUA was engaged again to transform six floors into a new home that met the expectations of the evolving workforce.

A global industrial company, Gates Corporation wanted to honor their investment in their people by maximizing the personal experience for staff. By expanding skyline and mountain views, including a gourmet cafeteria, outdoor patio, and an adaptable training center, Gates demonstrated their commitment to well-being by creating a dynamic environment that supported the many facets of the individual. Further, a central grand staircase was incorporated to promote connectivity among employees and break down barriers between floors.

To ensure the new layout would not only suit Gates’ needs, but also be adopted, EUA facilitated a change management strategy starting by meeting with stakeholder groups for interactive visioning sessions and carrying through to discussions on how to use new spaces. All of this was supported by Gates’ leadership who led by example and encouragement to experience their workplace in new ways.
