Fiserv Forum

A local sports and entertainment destination on a world-class scale

EUA was hired by the Milwaukee Bucks to assist in the design of Fiserv Forum, their new arena and the cornerstone of the new Deer District, along with HNTB and lead-designer Populous. The trio of design teams worked with the Bucks to create a world-class sports and entertainment destination that embraces Milwaukee’s architecture and incorporates innovative elements from across the globe. As part of this transformation, the design team provided the ultimate fan-centric arena and a year-round public space.

Fiserv Forum's design features a swooping roof and extensive glass to evoke Wisconsin’s natural beauty and Milwaukee’s rich heritage of industry and craftsmen. The expressive structure, transparency and fluid form of the design are inspired by the bountiful rivers, lakes and forests of the region. The interior of the space consists of a lower bowl with about 10,000 seats, an upper deck with about 6,000 seats and a ring of suites in between — with total capacity of 17,000 to 17,500 for basketball games. The entertainment experience showcases intimate seating that places the majority of the fans in the lower seating tier closer to the game. The grand entryway is highlighted by a spacious atrium and wall of east-facing glass with escalators, stairs and balconies at every level to showcase a dynamic environment and visually connect all areas of the arena’s interior.
