Design for flexibility in layout of equipment for improved + adjustable workflows
Experiencing large growth in their business EmbedTek, a designer and manufacturer of custom computers and integrated display solutions, needed a new climate-controlled facility that would allow them to be flexible for easy adjusts in their furniture and assembly lines depending on the project workflow needed.
There are five distinct areas of the facility: office space for administration, sales and operations; engineering design space to accommodate their specialty manufacturing equipment; an adaptable assembly area; shipping and receiving; and a reinforced slab for vibration testing. Each of these areas were designed focusing on employee satisfaction and feature large windows for daylighting as well as a lunchroom and outdoor patio space for socialization and employee gatherings.
