Eaton Corporation Badger Drive Expansion
Consolidate manufacturing and office functions into single facility
Eaton corporation, a power management company, was looking to consolidate two obsolete facilities, with a 246,000 sq ft expansion to an existing 495,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, to the accommodate growth in the power systems sector. EUA designed an expansion that adds additional space to both the office and manufacturing areas while creating a branded and highly-visible entrance to the facility.
Working within a fast-track deadline and tight site constraints, EUA and the team designed a functional, collaborative and open-concept space for Eaton employees by adding additional meeting rooms, a large all-staff training room and an upgraded café for employees to take a break and socialize. Given the previous space had little to no natural light, workstations were placed along the perimeter and newly added windows ensures everyone has access to daylight. A build-out for a future Customer Experience Center was included and will be incorporated within a designated tour path for customers that leads to manufacture and minimizes disruptions to the work environments.
