CSU Invasive Species Research Building*
Design a lab building addition that is flexible + conducive to research
The Invasive Species Research Building (ISRB) is an addition to the Animal Research Building on the National Wildlife Research Campus, a research facility for the USDA-APHIS. The addition added approximately 50,000 sq ft of animal rooms, supporting laboratory and office space.
The ISRB features Animal Rooms and Simulated Natural Environment rooms with temperate and tropical climates, housing long-term animal study. The animal room wall construction was designed to mitigate heat and moisture propagation. The interior wall surface of the animal rooms is designed to provide optimal flexibility with research projects while maintaining a smooth, cleanable and durable surface.
