Soothing spaces for family beginnings
Columbus Community Hospital, part of the SSM system and network of hospitals in Wisconsin, renovated spaces on three levels of their existing hospital. The main renovation is a 14,000 sq ft Birthing Center including three LDRP rooms, C-section suite, C-section recovery room, triage, lactation, nursery and support spaces. The floor also includes four observation rooms, three flex/swing patient rooms, infusion and activity rehabilitation rooms plus support spaces.
On the second floor, approximately 6,000 sq ft of space was remodeled to provide a sleep lab, EKG, stress and pulmonary exam rooms plus support space and two provider on-call suites. A new inpatient pharmacy occupies 2,000 sq ft on the first floor, with expansion capabilities for a retail pharmacy in the future and renovation of existing clinic spaces.
