Children's Hospital of Colorado*
Design a facility that reflects the client’s brand while maintaining scale
This Therapy Clinic facility was completed and opened to patients for Children’s Hospital Colorado. The facility is located on the northwest corner of Arista Place and Uptown Avenue, inside the Arista Development. As the Core/Shell Architect, we strived to design a facility that reflected the Children’s Hospital Colorado brand while maintaining proportion and scale to the surrounding landscape and structures.
The majority of the exterior facade was built utilizing painted tilt-up concrete panels with metal paneling accenting prominent corners. The main entry vestibule, lobby and Ortho gymnasium were designed as double volume spacers providing exceptional daylight penetration. The facility was developed by Denver-based Urban Frontier, LLC and includes the following services: audiology, neurophysiology, speech and learning, occupational therapy, and physical therapy for children ranging from infants to adolescents.
