Charter Communications – Granite Place

Supporting expansion of people and work with a technology infused workspace

In the context of a long-standing relationship, we were hired to update nine floors of Charter Communication’s Granite Place office building. Previously in two separate buildings across the street, Charter wanted to increase efficiencies and accommodate the rapid growth of their Engineering department, while remaining close to their other divisions in a campus-like setting.

The finishes in the space were strategically selected to both align with recently updated branding efforts of Charter, now Spectrum, as well as serve wayfinding purposes with each floor accented by a different color. Main corridors are designed to circulate around the open office space in the center. This layout, along with heavy use of glass, supports Charter’s value for “democratic daylighting,” for their employees. Additionally, Charter decided to take the best piece of real estate on each floor, the corner of the building with views to the Front Range, and make it a hub space for all to enjoy while taking a break, eating lunch or choosing to work from an alternative environment.
