Aurora Public Schools - Charles Burrell Visual + Performing Arts Campus
Design a campus focused on the arts to inspire + promote student learning
Aurora Public School hired EUA to complete a master plan for a new visual and performing arts campus to include K-12th grades. We also completed the first phase of a $20-million renovation of an existing K-8 and high school to accommodate this exciting new program. The work included a small classroom addition and new music, theater, and digital and visual arts classrooms. The high school also received an extensively renovated media center and a new maker space. The second design phase is underway, with planned construction to upgrade performance spaces in both buildings this summer.
While the campus is a magnet program for the arts, the high school will also serve students from the surrounding neighborhood. Students from both schools will be able to immerse themselves in art programs such as dance, stagecraft, music, film production and digital and visual arts, in addition to rigorous academics, preparing them for higher education and their future careers.
