Setting a road-map for future care
EUA in partnership with Miron Construction engaged in an experience-based, operationally-driven capital planning approach that will set the campus renovation and expansion strategy for the next 10 years at Medford's Memorial Health Center. The planning framework was driven by the goal of "operational improvement before capital investment." To achieve this goal, the interdisciplinary planning team conducted an analysis of the existing departments, identifying obstacles influencing patient experience, staffing efficiency, and supply circulation. Future planning strategies have been developed through an evaluation of operational metrics, visioning and planning exercises, and conceptual space diagrams at the campus, hospital and department levels. Implementation logistics and cost-estimating were fully integrated into the planning process, providing a road-map for decision making and project prioritization.
