A multi-component medical office building that supports organizational growth
Building upon EUA’s comprehensive Franklin campus Master Plan strategy, the Medical Office Building (MOB) advances Ascension’s strategy to grow and optimize the Franklin Hospital acute patient service lines. The MOB implements a new generation of Ascension facility standards designed to maximize operational efficiencies within a design vernacular respectful of the hospital’s signature architecture.
Right-sized, universal exam rooms, centralized nurse stations and strategically placed shared resources enable staff to flex across related service lines as needed. Using a Lean led design process, EUA reduced the gross floor area per exam room and maximized patient travel distance by 20% relative to the existing space.
The new facility houses multiple Ascension outpatient services including a same-day walk-in clinic, family medicine, internal medicine, OB/GYN, GI, cardiac, breast care/plastics, and numerous specialties, as well as additional time share/flex spaces.
