Congratulations to Mequon-Thiensville School District and Sturgeon Bay School District on their approved referenda. We look forward to our continued work together.
Following two recent studies predicting growth in the Mequon-Thiensville School District (MTSD), the community approved a $55.7 million referendum for renovations and additions to accommodate growing enrollment. EUA has been working with MTSD to develop a plan that includes creating classroom and support space at all elementary schools, expanding cafeterias and targeted renovations at the middle schools and district-wide traffic and safety improvements. Experiencing slow but steady enrollment decline in recent years, EUA conducted a capacity and utilization study that found that the Sturgeon Bay Schools (SBS) has an opportunity to increase efficiency by taking one of their three elementary schools offline. With residents approving a $16.84 million referendum, EUA is working with SBS to develop a plan for renovations at two elementary schools, enhancements to the technical education areas at the middle and high school and district-wide safety improvements.
