
EUA has expanded its reach and service offering by announcing a merger with Performa. This merger expands EUA’s reach, enhancing our ability to serve clients across the U.S. and attracting and retaining top talent.
The firms have similar cultures, work styles and values. To deliver projects with the best talent, EUA and Performa have strategically partnered on several projects over the past year, demonstrating and solidifying our ability to work together to provide a seamless client experience.
EUA has a national reach with local expertise. Since 1907, EUA has grown to more than 200 employees throughout our offices in Wisconsin + Colorado. This merger that completed February 1st, 2022 has grown EUA further, from three to five offices, and the infusion of 50 new talented employees with an engineering practice will provide additional value for our clients and partners.

Over the last two decades EUA and Performa have had healthy regional competition for talent, projects and market share, building awareness and a great level of respect for one another. EUA continues to grow in reach and size, most recently in May 2017 acquiring Burkettdesign, a Denver-based 27-person architecture and interior design firm. Engineering Service Offering
The integration of Performa brings EUA new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural engineering service offerings. The Green Bay and Atlanta locations will continue to offer integrated engineering with gradual and deliberate growth through other studios based on talent and client needs. EUA’s existing relationships with external engineering partners are very important and offer a unique opportunity to leverage internal consultative engineering expertise. In the future, we will look for opportunities to strategically leverage our new offerings, thoughtfully add engineering talent and continue to be a trusted partner. Making an Impact in the Communities We Work In
At EUA and Performa we are both we are very much rooted in giving back at all our offices; this will continue to be an emphasis as we move forward. We are committed to improving the quality of life in the communities we live, work and play. Our team believes in giving back through several community impact initiatives including:
- Milwaukee, WI: We support Lincoln Ave School mentoring program, Revitalize Milwaukee Block Builds, UPAF Ride for the Arts, Make-A-Wish WI and other educational and volunteering opportunities. An EUA institution, the annual Beyond Design Bike Tour (BDBT) brings partners and clients together to ride in support of local charities and the Eppstein Uhen Foundation.
- Madison, WI: Our team frequently volunteers together at local nonprofits and community events and takes pride in designing impactful spaces for their neighborhoods such as the Goodman Community Center and Operation Fresh Start – resource committed to helping the community become a place where everyone has what they need to create a meaningful life.
- Denver, CO: Our team is dedicated to improving our local community through our long-standing partnership with Denver non-profits including Ronald McDonald House of Denver, Food For Thought Denver and Urban Peak.
- De Pere, WI / Atlanta, GA: Our De Pere and Atlanta teams are strong and long-time supporters of many not-for-profits in our communities ranging from the Boys & Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Exceptional Equestrians, Children’s Museums and Syble Hopp School. We have a particular passion for nonprofits that improve the quality of life for children.
