MILWAUKEE, WI -- On Wednesday, May 19, 2021 Sturgeon Bay School District will celebrate the kick-off of referendum projects in a ground breaking ceremony.
The Sturgeon Bay School District engaged EUA to conduct a district-wide facility study to understand current conditions of their three elementary schools, middle and high school buildings. The study found that the District’s elementary schools were operating under available capacity, allowing the opportunity to recognize efficiencies by retiring one of their oldest buildings. With the completed study, EUA created a master plan to guide the District.
Following a successful referenda April 2020, EUA and Miron Construction have now started work with the District on:
- The addition of a secure entrance at the high school
- A classroom addition at Sawyer Elementary School to accommodate the closing of Sunset School
- District-wide capital maintenance and renovations
- Upgrades to the career and technical education areas at the middle and high school
- Remodeling at Sunrise Elementary School
The ground breaking ceremony will commence at 6:00pm on May 19, 2020 at the Sturgeon Bay High School front entrance:
1230 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI 5423
