MILWAUKEE, WI — Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) has recently hired two new employees to their growing team. These employees bring unique skills and talents to further EUA initiatives adding experience and additional resources to the workplace environments studio.
Carmen Eskra has joined EUA as an Interior Designer in the Workplace Studio. She has been involved in multiple project types including inpatient and outpatient healthcare, hospitality, financial/retail and manufacturing, but specializes in projects in the corporate sector. Her passion is getting to know her clients, their culture and how they work. Using her programming and master planning expertise, Carmen brings clients’ brands to life, assisting them in recruiting and retaining talent through the design and implementation of impactful, efficient and safe interiors.
A third-generation interior designer and Milwaukee native, Carmen is an active member of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), currently serving on their Board of Directors as Membership Director. In 2012, she received the organization’s Volunteer of the Year Award for her efforts in creating their Emerging Professionals Committee. She is a Wisconsin Registered Interior Designer (WRID) and is National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Certified. Carmen is also a 2007 graduate of Mount Mary University.
Rita Nelson, a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a BFA in Interior Design, joins EUA’s workplace studio as Project Assistant with an interiors focus. While at Iowa State, Rita was employed by the University in a number of student-facing roles, and was a summer intern at HGA’s Milwaukee office. Nelson is passionate about creating meaningful spaces that provide positive experiences for the people impacted by them.
