July 1, 2023 — EUA’s CEO, Rich Tennessen, has announced some changes within the firm with the promotion of Tony Breitlow as the new healthcare studio director, Scott Kindness’ transition from the living environments studio director back to focus full-time as a design principal, and Chris Leinss as the new living environments studio director.

Breitlow, a 23-year industry veteran and licensed architect, has been a healthcare project manager with EUA for eight years. He is recognized for his diligence in ensuring that every project meets its client’s needs and vision. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies

“He’s a person who really cares about relationships and fosters positive team dynamics,” said EUA president Kristin Dufek. “The teams Tony works with speak volumes about his leadership and commitment, and I know he’ll be an excellent studio director for healthcare.”

Leinss has been with EUA for nearly 18 years and has spent time in both the workplace and living environments studios as a senior project architect. A licensed architect, Leinss’ attention to detail and skill in technical development has brought him great success in the various projects he has worked on across both markets. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a minor in landscape architecture.

“One of Chris’ talents is his ability to understand where people’s strengths are and how to inspire a high-performing team, which will serve as an excellent foundation for success in his new role as studio director,” said Dufek. “Chris being focused on our people and the work we do within our studio, along with Scott being focused on design and client partnerships, feels like an unstoppable combination.”

Kindness’ focus as a full-time design principal will allow him to devote day-to-day to projects and clients, where he will leverage his decades of experience and expertise to elevating EUA’s living environments market.

All role changes will be effective July 1, 2023.
