1B The Changing Consumer
The housing and healthcare solutions for a growing aging population are integrally linked. Implementing a holistic approach to developing a continuum of care and services is needed. This includes the re-evaluation and application of models developed in international communities and determining how these can be applied to models in the United States. Participants in this session will be presented with lessons learned from within senior housing, as well as care models from Australia, Europe and Asia. This session will also discuss growth of the aging population and how the changing demographic presents an opportunity for care providers to address their changing needs and desires.
