Tempo, Wisconsin's largest professional women's organization, is moving there.

The Avenue has landed another office tenant at the downtown Milwaukee mixed-use development.

Tempo, Wisconsin's largest professional women's organization, is moving its headquarters to The Avenue, formerly the Grand Avenue mall, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Tempo will move into 2,500 square feet on the second floor, the group announced Friday. It will use space now occupied by Hempel Cos., one of The Avenue's developers.

The organization left its offices at Schlitz Park in May 2020, with its staff working remotely. Tempo plans to move to its new space by early fall.

Jones Lang and LaSalle commercial real estate broker and Eppstein Uhen Architects helped oversee improvements in the space.

"The Avenue is a critical component of the revitalization and transformation of Milwaukee's downtown scene," said Jennifer Dirks, Tempo president and chief executive officer.

"We are thrilled to be moving into this incredible space and joining the impressive mix of Milwaukee businesses and organizations that have recently taken up occupancy," Dirks said.

Along with offices occupied by such tenants as Good Karma Brands LLC, The Avenue includes apartments and 3rd Street Market Hall, a food hall opening in September.
