In advance of the Jan. 18 opening, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin held an open house Saturday at the new Drexel Town Square Health Center in Oak Creek. Check out the slideshow put together by Milwaukee Business Journal freelance photographer Kenny Yoo to get your first look inside the new health clinic.
The 109,000-square-foot health center at the corner of West Drexel Avenue and South Sixth Street will offer a spectrum of services from primary care and urgent care to an outpatient surgery and cancer care. Froedtert & the Medical College is leasing the space from developer HSA PrimeCare of Chicago.
Thirty-nine physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will practice at the center, including specialists representing a dozen different specialty care areas. Based in Wauwatosa, Froedtert & the Medical College expect to create about 145 full- and part-time jobs in its first year.
The Drexel Town Square site also will include occupational medicine and support services including laboratory, imaging and pharmacy.
Drexel Town Square Health Center is the fourth new health center opened by the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin health network in the past year and represents a geographic expansion into Milwaukee’s southeast suburbs. The other new centers are in Brookfield, Mequon and downtown Milwaukee.
