Employee Well-Being and Workplace Design

Studies show the deep connection between productivity and employee well-being. We believe that the best investment any company can make is in its people. With so much time spent in work settings, employers have a tangible opportunity to improve their employees’ lives, as well as the environment, through conscious design decisions. By designing workplaces that go beyond fundamental job requirements to support employees holistically, a company can set themselves apart while setting their employees up for success.

WELL Building Standard
As a firm, we have made the ongoing commitment to pursue concepts that advance sustainability and wellness. The WELL Building Standard sets performance requirements in seven categories relevant to occupant health in the built environment – Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Fitness, Comfort and Mind. WELL Certified™ spaces can help create a built environment that improves the nutrition, fitness, mood, sleep patterns and performance of its occupants. We have trained and accredited team members to support clients with implementing WELL Building strategies into their projects and if desired, facilitate the certification process.

Design for Well-Being
It's important to design an environment that encourages employees to feel their best at the office. When designing work spaces for employee well-being, work productivity increases, as well as, job satisfaction and employee engagement. Well-Being is one of The Five Engaged Workplace Drivers in our Workplace Strategy.

EUA's Commitment to Employee Well-Being
We also place a high-level of emphasis on the importance of well-being for our own people and are active members in the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA); where we bring wellness strategies from this partnership into practice in our corporate designs.
