Fostering Socialization

Designing versatile common spaces that create spaces for socialization

One of the many benefits of living in a senior living facility is the warm atmosphere and the many opportunities to connect with others through social events and conversation. In designing for tomorrow’s trends in senior living, we understand how important it is to connect with other residents, staff and family.  Interior common spaces for residents to pursue hobbies is becoming important in the current market. Spaces are needed for programs including group fitness classes, personal training, and independent gym / pool use to improve strength, balance, and the ability to perform daily living activities. In addition, spas and salons have seen increasing popularity, as well as environments that allow for social gatherings like bistros and cafés, which offer a variety of resident dining choices.
