Translating strategic concepts to create a balanced, efficient space
Healthcare trends and code requirements are constantly changing, and it is a fundamental requirement of our practice to keep abreast of these developments. We use research and industry resources such as the Advisory Board and Center for Health Design to maintain our understanding of the forces driving industry-wide growth, services demand and reimbursement implications.
We understand the importance during the planning stage of balancing the safety of users, function for healthcare staff and needs of patients and families with the financial expenditure and day-to-day operations. To achieve programmatic efficiency, we integrate Lean planning concepts to consider potential growth or shifts and design spaces with the flexibility to perform for current and future utilization needs. During programming we look at opportunities to improve flow and streamline connections by creating adjacencies with related program spaces such as diagnostic and clinical for easy access, wayfinding and the well-being of employees and patients.
Within every healthcare system, there is also a need for corporate office environments that promote a successful culture and meet the organizational needs. EUA supports a wide range of clients, including healthcare systems, in Workplace Strategy efforts to understand the ways in which departments operate to align people, places and technology. Starting with organizational vision, a truly thriving workplace is an engaged environment that enhances the employee experience.
