EUA is a proud sponsor of the 2019 Go Red for Women Celebration. EUA Vice President Kristin Dufek is the Chair of this year's event, and had this to say when asked about her involvement:
Why did you get involved in Go Red for Women?
"I’m a big believer in every person taking control of their own future, and a big part of that is health. When I heard that 1 in every 3 women in the U.S. die of heart disease, it made me want to get behind a movement that is doing so much to create awareness of what we all can do to impact our own health while also being catalysts for change in the health of our families and friends."
What has been the most meaningful experience you have had working with the organization?
"Getting to know so many inspirational leaders in the Milwaukee community has been wonderful. We are lucky to be surrounded by so many great people!"
As the chair for the event, what needs to be true for this year’s event to be a success in your mind?
"I would like every person touched by this year’s event, and all of the other events leading up to it, to take what they’ve learned and make change happen for the good in their own life. Milwaukee’s future needs a vibrant and healthy community."
