MILWAUKEE, WIScott Weas has joined Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA), as Director of Operations. As a member of the Practice Team, Scott will work closely with the Studio Directors focusing on strategic initiatives, client relations and overall operations.

Regarding the announcement, Rich Tennessen, President of EUA said, “I have known and worked with Scott for years, his combined business acumen and perspective will be vital in supporting EUA’s operations as we continue to grow. We want to continue to focus on our clients and our people, and Scott’s quick study and problem-solving skills will be an asset in these areas.”

With an MBA from Northwestern University, Scott brings a diverse background and unique client perspective to the role that will be influential in shaping the future of EUA and improving client outcomes. Scott has relevant experience with projects that touch every market sector served by EUA; as a client, developer and service provider.

With a solid track record in development, real estate and operations for major corporations, Scott will support key projects as Client Executive, helping shape the team performance and client experience. When asked about his approach to project planning, Scott said, “It’s really taking an inside out approach; it’s all about problem solving for the client and users, great design is just a byproduct of when the space ultimately meets the client’s objectives.”

Scott’s focus on operations will support Kristin Dufek, Vice President of EUA, allowing for additional focus on the strategic growth plans for EUA’s healthcare studio and talent development at EUA. When asked about this addition, Kristin said, “During my time working with Scott I have always respected his kind and fair approach to work, and know that his interactions with our clients and employees will create positive experiences. I look forward to the impact he can make.”

EUA has been growing its regional footprint, in May 2017, EUA announced a Denver office acquisition and the firm has many ongoing projects in Wisconsin’s New North region. A Green Bay native, Scott will be taking on a board position with The New North, Economic Development Corporation to support the growth within this region.
