Our People

EUA’s Design Application Consulting team is like no other.  Bringing a mix of industry experience, technological savvy and real-world expertise this team can provide the peer consulting necessary for successful BIM related initiatives.  In addition to the 3 primary individuals listed below, the entire Eppstein Uhen Architects staff also helps to support EUA’s consulting efforts.

TONY

Tony Isenhoff, Design Application Specialist – Tony joined Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) in 2006 to support the firm’s transition to Building Information Modeling (BIM). Prior to joining EUA, Tony spent 15 years training and consulting for architectural & engineering firms around the country. He assisted at Autodesk University and provided Revit training for the EUA-sponsored BIM Studio at UWM. Understanding and leveraging technology has always been a high priority for Tony. One of his many strengths is a strong technical knowledge coupled with his ability and enjoyment sharing this knowledge with others. Tony is an Autodesk Revit Certified Professional and provides fundamental through advanced Revit training to the entire EUA staff and is an integral part of EUA’s success with BIM.  Together with Phyllis Robbins, he provides daily guidance to project teams and individual team members.

Phyllis Robbins

Phyllis Robbins, Design Applications Manager – Phyllis joined Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) in 1987 as an interior designer.  Her previous work in an architectural firm and an interior design firm made her the ideal candidate to lead space planning initiatives.  She graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from the College of Design at Iowa State University.  Subsequent to graduation, she was certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and became a full professional member of ASID.  Phyllis assumed responsibility for tenant improvement work and large interior construction projects in the Corporate Studio and eventually became a Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager.  In 2003, she joined the new Health and Wellness Studio as an Associate.  Phyllis has always been a technology leader and in 2005, she accepted the Design Applications Manager position at EUA and guided the firm through a successful migration to Autodesk Revit Architecture©.  She brings considerable senior project experience to her Design Applications role.  Together with Tony Isenhoff, she provides daily support for all staff and projects, supports collaborative multi-discipline teams, develops training documentation and coordinates internal training, manages and maintains a comprehensive content library and evaluates all Design Applications software platforms. 

BRET

Bret Tushaus, Director of Information Technology - Bret joined Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) in 1995 after receiving a Masters of Architecture Degree from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. With his architectural background and technological knowledge, Bret transitioned into EUA’s IT Manager in 1998.  In 2001 Bret was appointed to the Director of Information Technology position and became a Vice President.  As an integral part of the firm’s strategic development and business operations, Bret oversees all the technological aspects of EUA.  This includes IT infrastructure and related functionality as well as usage and strategy for design and building information modeling tools and applications.  In addition, Bret is instrumental in guiding EUA through its transition to an AEC industry governed by Integrated Delivery methods.
