TRAINING SCHEDULE

We at EUA are thrilled to host our friends and colleagues on the Beyond Design Bike Tour. Effective preparation and training will help you enjoy the ride to its fullest.

For your ride, our friends at Transition Cycle and Training helped us compile information on proper equipment, clothing, training and nutrition for cycling. You can find the information here.

When you are ready to begin your training, we designed a training schedule to help you prepare for the ride. Our training program begins in June, and will help you prepare for the distance and pace you wish to ride on the Tour in August. And if you would like to join EUA and our partners on training rides throughout the summer, please remember to check the box to receive emails when you register for the ride!

Riding Instructions, Tips and Techniques

Effective riding skills will help to make your ride faster, safer and more enjoyable. These tips, techniques and skills will help you prepare for the Tour while learning how to work with other riders to ride more effectively, save energy and have a more enjoyable time on the road.

We work hard to ensure that everyone of our friends riding the Tour have a great ride and we ask you to remember that riders do need to follow the Rules of the Road which cover all riders – particularly that riders are permitted to ride two abreast on Wisconsin roads, but not to completely occupy an entire lane of traffic.

Group Training

Through the spring and summer many of our bike shop supporters organize group-training rides on a regular basis. These rides are an excellent way to train for the Beyond Design Bike Tour, and to acquire and practice new bike handling skills. In addition, our retail supporters will be offering registered riders special rewards programs and classes for their participation in the Tour. Please make certain you checked to receive Tour Information and updates by email when you register!
