From 1907 when 22-year-old William G. Herbst opened an architecture firm in Milwaukee, to what is now EUA, much has changed over the past 110 years.
Throughout our history, our firm has changed leadership, moved office locations, expanded to Madison, become experts in our markets of learning, living, healthcare, science + technology and workplace, started the Eppstein Uhen Foundation with tens of thousands of volunteer hours and charitable giving of over $600,000, held 13 Beyond Design Bike Tours, grew regionally and then expanded nationally with our newest office in Denver. But throughout our evolution, one thing has remained consistent––the soul of our firm.
Our people are the foundation for who we are, their well-being and ability to thrive during their workday is of paramount importance. We love what we do, where we do it and who we do it with. We are grateful for our past and excited for another 110 years.
